The sibling of a 29-year-old woman who was tragically killed in a violent roadside assault in Ireland has also passed away. Following Scarlett Faulkner’s funeral in Limerick on Friday, her brother Jason died over the weekend. Melissa McCarthy, their cousin, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, urging prayers for the Faulkner family.

Expressing deep sorrow, Melissa reminisced about the good times she shared with Jason and lamented the loss of both siblings in quick succession. Another family member expressed shock at Jason’s sudden death, highlighting the immense pain the family is enduring.

Tributes are pouring in for Jason, with friends and mourners offering their condolences and prayers for the grieving family. Scarlett, aged 28, had been on life support at Cork University Hospital for three weeks following a brutal attack on the R494 near Birdhill on March 21. Sadly, she passed away on April 13.

Speaking at Scarlett’s funeral, Victoria Faulkner fondly remembered her as a beloved daughter, sister, and mother. Scarlett, a respected member of a Traveller family from Limerick county, was the victim of a savage assault by a group armed with weapons. Two individuals have been charged in connection with the assault, which remains under investigation by Nenagh Garda Station.

The community continues to mourn the loss of both Scarlett and Jason, emphasizing the need for support and prayers for the Faulkner family during this difficult time.
