Tragic Death of 21-Year-Old Worker in Falkirk

A young man, aged 21, has passed away following an incident at an industrial yard where he was reportedly crushed while working. The victim, identified as Steven Dougall from Falkirk, tragically lost his life in a hospital after the incident occurred on July 21 at the premises owned by Horizon Reinforcing & Crane Hire Co. Ltd, a business operated by his family.

Tributes have been pouring in for Steven, who is remembered as a diligent and compassionate individual. A balloon release memorial event was held in Dollar Park to honor his memory. The authorities, including Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), are investigating the incident, although it is not considered suspicious.

The police reported that they responded to a call about a man with serious injuries at the industrial location in Falkirk. Despite efforts by emergency services, the young man succumbed to his injuries at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The HSE is assisting in the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.

In the aftermath of Steven’s untimely death, the community has been devastated, with numerous tributes and expressions of grief. An obituary highlighted his positive impact on those around him and his promising future. Steven is fondly remembered as a hardworking and kind-hearted individual with ambitious aspirations and a bright personality that touched many lives.

The community came together to commemorate Steven’s life, including a balloon release ceremony and a memorial football match organized by Pantry FC, the local team he played for. His family has requested privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son, grandson, cousin, and friend.
