Tommy Robinson’s planned march has been reimagined as a charity event for refugees and anti-racism causes. The fundraising initiative, known as “Tommy Chooses Love,” has already raised over £100,000, with donations exceeding expectations and set to surpass the £110,000 target due to the upcoming Unite The Kingdom rally in London.

In a recent online tirade, Robinson stated that the march is intended for individuals frustrated with migration, mass immigration, and government oppression. However, each step taken during the march will now contribute to supporting refugees, displaced persons, and anti-racism efforts in the UK, with donations linked to the distance covered.

The Unite the Kingdom rally, spearheaded by the anti-Islam activist, will commence on Kingsway and proceed through various London landmarks before concluding at Parliament Square. Ahead of the rally, seven far-right individuals have been barred from entering the UK by government officials, citing concerns about public safety and community harmony.

Law enforcement is gearing up for a busy day in London, as multiple events are scheduled simultaneously, including a Nakba Day march and the FA Cup final. The Metropolitan Police plans to deploy 4,000 officers, along with helicopters, drones, armed units, and canine teams, to ensure public order and safety.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner James Harman acknowledged heightened concerns within Jewish communities and emphasized the need for a robust policing strategy to manage potential tensions and security challenges. The upcoming weekend is expected to be demanding, with significant gatherings and potential risks necessitating a proactive and vigilant approach from law enforcement.
