Tehran’s missile teams launched attacks on US forces and multiple Middle Eastern countries on Thursday, shortly after the US targeted over 90 sites in Iran. Air defenses were activated around US military bases in the region as Iranian missiles struck locations in Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Jordan had to intercept five Iranian missiles in retaliation for US strikes on Iran.

Reports indicated that Iranian missiles targeted US navy ships in the Strait of Hormuz as tensions escalated following US President Trump’s declaration that the ceasefire was over. Israeli forces were placed on high alert for potential Iranian assaults, leading to emergency meetings with ministers. The US conducted strikes on Iranian military installations along the southern coastline, including military sites, bridges, airstrips, and the perimeter of a nuclear facility.

President Donald Trump mentioned that Iran had expressed interest in negotiating a deal, although he characterized the strikes on Iranian sites as retribution. Iranian air defense systems were activated around the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant as a precaution against possible US missile attacks. US forces reportedly launched Tomahawk cruise missiles at Iranian air defenses near the plant.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed retaliatory strikes on US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, labeling them as the initial phase of punitive action against the US. Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf criticized the US for its actions, emphasizing that aggressive behavior would not go unanswered. The situation unfolded as thousands gathered for the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iraq and Iran.

At the NATO conference in Turkey, President Trump condemned Tehran’s government and announced the end of the ceasefire with Iran. The latest US attacks targeted several bridges in Iran, resulting in casualties and injuries. Iran’s Ministry of Health reported 14 fatalities and 78 injuries from the recent clashes, with 47 individuals still hospitalized.

The escalation between the US and Iran continued with missile exchanges for a second consecutive night, prompting concerns about further hostilities. Amid the ongoing tensions, the possibility of support from pro-Iranian groups in Iraq for Iran’s actions was raised.
