Six individuals were stabbed and a law enforcement officer was cut with a knife during the Arsenal Champions Parade on Sunday. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest of 24 people following the deployment of 500 officers.

Authorities are in pursuit of one assailant after a man suffered life-threatening injuries from a stabbing incident near Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium during the Premier League title celebration. The occurrence occurred around 8.30 pm on Hornsey Road, approximately a 15-minute walk from the stadium. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded to the scene, transporting the victim, a man in his twenties, to the hospital due to knife wounds.

According to the Met Police, the call reporting the stabbing was received at 8:38 pm on Hornsey Road, N7. The police, along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, attended to the victim, who remains in stable condition in the hospital. The injuries are not deemed life-threatening at this time.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The public is urged to provide any relevant information to the authorities. The incident coincided with Arsenal fans gathering across north London to commemorate the club’s Premier League victory after 22 years.

The Met Police disclosed that 24 arrests were made during the event, ranging from disorderly conduct and drug-related offenses to assaults on emergency personnel and sexual assault.

Video footage circulating on social media depicted fans climbing onto a police van roof, engaging in rowdy behavior, chanting, and throwing objects while nearby footballs were tossed around.

The Arsenal title parade occurred shortly after the Gunners’ defeat in the Champions League final, attracting an estimated one million attendees. The London Fire Brigade reported rescuing around 75 individuals from high-altitude incidents and cautioned against climbing rooftops during the festivities. A fire incident at a hotel, believed to be caused by a stray flare, was also attended to by fire crews.

Assistant Commissioner of the London Fire Brigade, Pat Goulbourne, mentioned that the fire resulted in minimal exterior damage to the building. The use of pyrotechnics triggered fire alarms at various locations in the vicinity.

In preparation for the parade, the club issued guidelines for attendees to respect local properties and residences, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful and respectful celebration. Fans were reminded to adhere to instructions from stewards, event personnel, and law enforcement along the parade route, with strict prohibitions against flares, fireworks, and pyrotechnics.
