Jack Shepherd, known as the Speedboat killer, is facing new charges related to an alleged assault on his latest girlfriend, as revealed in parole board documents. The woman, identified as Ms X and in her 50s, reported incidents of physical violence, criminal damage, suffocation, and controlling behavior by Shepherd. These charges come after Shepherd’s previous conviction for the manslaughter of Charlotte Brown in a speedboat crash on the River Thames during a date. Shepherd had fled to Georgia to evade trial but was later apprehended and imprisoned.
Following his release in 2024, Shepherd changed his name and moved into new accommodations where he met Ms X. Despite being informed of Shepherd’s past, they began a relationship that turned violent and coercive. In August 2025, Ms X reported Shepherd to the police, leading to his arrest for controlling and coercive behavior. Shepherd was released on bail but subsequently breached his conditions, resulting in his return to custody.
A parole hearing for Shepherd has been scheduled to be held publicly, potentially with Ms X providing testimony. The parole board is set to review his case and decide on his potential release or continued detention based on the evidence presented. The possibility of criminal charges against Shepherd is also being considered, with Ms X possibly required to testify in court if deemed necessary.
Shepherd had previously fled to Georgia and lived with Maiko Tchanturidze, a TV reporter, before surrendering to authorities. Despite Maiko’s support during his incarceration, their relationship ended in 2023. The upcoming parole hearing will shed light on Shepherd’s legal status and the allegations against him.
