Rescuers are currently conducting a search operation in the vicinity of the Welsh coast for a man who disappeared while on a rock climbing expedition.
A search effort involving a boat and helicopter from the coastguard has been initiated to locate the missing individual, identified only as Ben, who was last seen in the St. Davids area.
Emergency teams are scouring the Pembrokeshire coast for Ben after he was last in contact with his family around midday on Wednesday, as per police reports.
It is believed that Ben had planned to go rock climbing in either the Carreg y Barcud area near Trelerw or Caer Bwdy Bay outside St Davids, as detailed in a report by Wales Online.
According to Dyfed-Powys Police, Ben is approximately 5ft 11in tall, with an athletic build, short brown/greying hair, and brown eyes. He was carrying an orange bag and wearing black climbing shoes with an orange strap when he went missing.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen or spoken to Ben since midday on Wednesday to come forward promptly. Reports can be made online, by calling 101, or emailing 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, referencing 429 of August 5.
A coastguard spokesperson informed the Mirror that a search operation along the St David’s coastline is ongoing for the missing man, reported on August 5 at approximately 9.50pm.
Multiple resources have been deployed, including two HM Coastguard helicopters and airplanes, along with Coastguard Rescue Teams from various locations. RNLI lifeboats and lifeguards are also assisting in the search effort.
