Authorities have initiated a search for suspects following the reported rape of two teenage girls at a popular beach.
Norfolk Police responded to an incident at South Beach Parade, Great Yarmouth, shortly after 12:30 am on Saturday, where the assaults took place.
Following the incident, a man in his 30s was apprehended in Northamptonshire on suspicion of rape and is currently in custody for interrogation.
Authorities are seeking a second suspect described as a man in his 30s or 40s with short dark hair and facial hair. The individual was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark green jacket with white stripes on the sleeves.
The police have appealed for witnesses in connection with the incidents in Great Yarmouth and have deployed officers to the area since the assaults occurred.
Chief Inspector Nick Paling, district commander for Great Yarmouth, expressed concern for the victims and their families, emphasizing the support provided by specialized officers during the investigation.
Additional police presence has been implemented in the vicinity, with officers conducting patrols to reassure the community and urging individuals with information or concerns to approach them.
