A new member of the royal family is being celebrated as a valuable ally for the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. Harriet Sperling is preparing to wed Peter Phillips next weekend, and it seems she shares many similarities with Kate.

The upcoming wedding between Harriet and Peter is scheduled to take place in Kemble, Gloucestershire, on Saturday, June 6. The ceremony will be a private affair at All Saints Church, with several royal relatives of Peter, including his mother Princess Anne, uncle King Charles, and cousin Prince William, expected to be in attendance. Peter, 48, is the son of Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips, and he resides close to his mother’s Gatcombe Park estate in Minchinhampton.

Having parted ways with his first wife, Autumn, in 2020 after a 12-year marriage, Peter shares custody of their two children, Savannah and Isla. The couple had a lavish royal wedding at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in 2008. Peter’s engagement to Harriet, whom he began dating in 2024, was announced in August last year.

Harriet, a 45-year-old NHS nurse, shares a passion for fashion similar to Kate, often seen wearing brands like Self Portrait and Beulah. She recently sparked a fashion trend after being spotted in a Dilli Grey dress, leading to increased demand for the designer’s creations.

Both Kate and Harriet are known to have common interests, particularly in supporting childhood development. Harriet, a trained nurse specializing in pediatrics, is dedicated to promoting early brain development in infants and ensuring children thrive.

The royal household currently has few female allies around Kate’s age, following recent events such as the passing of the Queen, Meghan Markle’s exit from royal life, and the controversies surrounding Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice’s father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Harriet, known for her writing skills and openness about her Christian faith and experience as a single mother, has been warmly welcomed into the royal circle. She shares a strong bond with her daughter and emphasizes the importance of faith and love in their journey through life.

The engagement of Harriet and Peter was officially confirmed in August last year, with both families expressing delight at the news. The guest list for the wedding is expected to include Queen Camilla, Prince Edward, Sophie, Princess Anne, Captain Mark Phillips, and other members of the royal family.

Peter’s daughters from his previous marriage, Savannah and Isla, along with Harriet’s daughter, Georgina, are set to participate in the ceremony. The attendance of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, children of William and Kate, is yet to be confirmed.

Notably, Sarah Ferguson, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle are not anticipated to be present at the event.
