Meghan Markle is reportedly traveling to the UK this week with her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to reunite with Prince Harry. Despite Harry’s busy schedule promoting the Invictus Games, it is understood that Meghan and the children will not be participating in any public events during their stay.

While Harry is expected to attend a public event in Birmingham on Friday, it has been reported that Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet will only join him for private family gatherings away from the public eye. This visit will allow King Charles to have a heartfelt reunion with his grandchildren, whom he has not seen since 2022.

The King, who has had a strained relationship with his son Harry since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their royal duties in 2020, has expressed a desire to spend time with his family. Talks between the monarch’s aides and Harry and Meghan have been ongoing to arrange a suitable time for the family reunion, likely to take place on Friday or Saturday before the Sussexes return to California on Sunday.

A royal source revealed, “The King is eager to spend quality time with his grandchildren, and efforts are being made to facilitate this reunion.” Recent conversations between the King and Harry have been described as positive and hopeful.

The family is expected to stay at Althorp House, the childhood home of Princess Diana and her final resting place, in West Northamptonshire. This location provides easy access to both Birmingham and London for any potential family engagements.

In a tweet by Chris Ship, ITV’s Royal Editor, it was confirmed that Meghan will not be attending any public events in the UK as initially planned. The focus will be on private family time for the Sussexes during their visit.

Prince Harry has already arrived in the UK and has been fulfilling his duties, including a touching visit to a hospital in Birmingham where he interacted with patients and staff. Harry shared stories about his son Archie, revealing the young boy’s love for Lego.

The royal family’s engagements on Thursday were highlighted, with King Charles and Queen Camilla attending a separate event at London Zoo. The King’s interactions with the zoo’s staff, including painting snails with UV orange ‘snail polish,’ showcased a lighter side of the royal engagements.

Meanwhile, Prince William made a visit to Hastings, East Sussex, where he expressed confidence in England’s World Cup chances. William engaged with the local community and even enjoyed a game of mini-golf by the seafront.

The Mirror’s coverage of the royal family’s activities provides insights into the ongoing engagements and interactions among the members as they navigate their public duties and personal relationships.
