Senior members of the royal family gathered on a rainy June day to celebrate the marriage of Peter Phillips to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling in a small and private wedding ceremony.
Among the notable attendees were the King and Queen along with other prominent royal family members who came together to witness Princess Anne’s son tie the knot. The wedding took place at All Saints Church in the quaint town of Kemble, located in Gloucestershire. The beautiful bride wore an elegant floor-length lace gown designed by Emilia Wickstead from London, complemented by the Pragnell family tiara.
Also present at the ceremony were the Prince and Princess of Wales, Zara and Mike Tindall – the groom’s sister and brother-in-law accompanied by their daughters. Notably absent from the wedding were Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Despite maintaining a low public profile due to controversies surrounding their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice attended the wedding with their respective husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The arrival of the King and Queen was met with cheers from the public, who joyfully exclaimed “hip hip hooray” as the bride, accompanied by her three bridesmaids – Mr. Phillips’s daughters Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14, as well as Ms. Sperling’s teenage daughter Georgina, made her entrance.
The couple was captured posing for photographs outside the church in the rain, and later shared a kiss in the car after the ceremony. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were also spotted arriving at the church, while King Charles waved to excited fans as he made his way to the ceremony.
Harriet Sperling arrived at the church with her bridesmaids, Kate Middleton was seen stepping out of a car upon her arrival, and Queen Camilla greeted members of the public before the ceremony commenced. The church was adorned with beautiful flowers following the wedding ceremony, and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice arrived together with their husbands. Princess Anne was dressed in a yellow ensemble for the occasion.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were also present at the event. The newly married couple departed with smiles on their faces after the wedding, with Zara Tindall, the groom’s sister, in attendance as well. Meanwhile, a local resident was spotted using a ladder to peer over a garden fence to catch a glimpse of the royal guests.
