A rare albino buffalo in Bangladesh, bearing a striking resemblance to Donald Trump, is set to be sacrificed soon. The buffalo, nicknamed ‘Donald Trump’ due to its flowing golden hair resembling the US president’s iconic hairstyle, has gained celebrity status, attracting a steady stream of curious visitors at the farm near Dhaka where it resides.
The owner, Zia Uddin Mridha, shared that his brother playfully named the bull ‘Donald Trump’ because of its unique hair. Mridha described the buffalo as very gentle, noting that albino buffaloes are typically peaceful and only exhibit aggression if provoked.
Throughout May, numerous people have flocked to see the animal, with one visitor remarking on the uncanny resemblance between the buffalo and President Donald Trump. Despite caring for the buffalo for a year, Mridha mentioned that the four-year-old animal, along with about 12 million other livestock, is slated for slaughter in preparation for the upcoming Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha later this month.
Eid al-Adha, the second major Islamic festival after Eid al-Fitr, is scheduled for May 26 this year, with festivities lasting three days. Mridha expressed mixed feelings about parting with the buffalo, acknowledging that sacrificing animals is a fundamental aspect of Eid al-Adha traditions.
A visitor, recalling seeing pictures of the buffalo on social media, emphasized the striking resemblance between the buffalo’s facial features and hairstyle to those of Donald Trump.
