Two individuals, a man, and a woman have been apprehended on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a deceased woman at a hotel in Liverpool. The incident unfolded at The White Star Line Hotel in central Liverpool, prompting a response from the authorities after a distress call from the North West Ambulance Service early on Saturday morning.
According to reports from the Liverpool Echo, paramedics were alerted to a 40-year-old woman who had fallen ill. Regrettably, the woman was declared deceased at the scene, with her relatives duly notified. Law enforcement officials have categorized the woman’s demise as unexplained, pending the outcome of a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death, with the toxicology report results yet to be disclosed.
The suspects, a 47-year-old man from Kirkby and a 34-year-old woman from Liverpool, have been detained on suspicion of murder, while a 31-year-old man from Liverpool has been taken into custody on suspicion of aiding an offender. All three have been provisionally released as investigations continue.
The premises of The White Star Line Hotel were observed with police forensic vans stationed outside the establishment yesterday evening.
