Several individuals have sustained injuries in a stabbing incident that occurred at a high school, as per recent reports. It has been indicated that a minimum of five people were injured during the event at Foss High School in Tacoma, Washington state on Thursday, April 30.
Law enforcement officials have confirmed that one suspect is currently in police custody. The Tacoma Police Department has specified that among the injured parties are four students and one security guard, as reported by KVUE.
The Tacoma Fire Department has informed that the injured individuals have been taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment. The incident was reported shortly before 1:40 pm, leading to the school being placed on lockdown.
Parents are said to be receiving notifications regarding the situation. Notably, Foss High School had previously experienced a shooting incident resulting in the death of a student back in January 2007, leading to the evacuation of students from the premises.
