Motorola Challenges Samsung with New Edge 70 Max Smartphone
Motorola is stepping up its game against Samsung in the Android market with the launch of the feature-rich Motorola Edge 70 Max. This new phone boasts two standout features that set it apart from Samsung’s latest Galaxy flagship models – a massive battery capacity and ultra-fast charging capability.
Inside the Motorola Edge 70 Max lies a substantial 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery, designed to provide extended usage for activities like streaming, gaming, and browsing without the need for frequent recharging. Unlike the conventional lithium-ion batteries in Samsung devices, the silicon-carbon technology in the Edge 70 Max offers higher energy density without adding extra bulk or weight to the phone.
When it comes to recharging, Motorola has introduced a game-changer with the support for 90W TurboPower charging in the Edge 70 Max. This technology enables rapid charging, with just six minutes of charging providing enough power for a full day of use. In comparison, Samsung’s current phones max out at 60W wired charging, putting Motorola ahead in this aspect.
The impressive battery performance of the Edge 70 Max has already earned it the prestigious Gold Label for battery life and charging from experts at DXOMARK.
Apart from its power features, the Motorola Edge 70 Max comes loaded with flagship specifications. It features a sharp 6.82-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display, powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor that handles everything from intensive gaming to AI tasks. To prevent overheating during heavy usage, the phone incorporates a large vapour chamber cooling system.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the AI-powered camera system on the Edge 70 Max, headlined by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a dedicated macro lens for close-up shots.
Additional highlights of the phone include an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, water resistance, and a premium design available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt.
Wilkin Lee, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at Motorola, emphasized the blend of beauty, performance, and practicality in the Edge 70 Max, stating that the phone delivers a premium entertainment experience with no compromises.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max is currently available for purchase in the UK at a price of £699.99.
