Holidaymakers witnessed a distressing event as a light aircraft crash-landed near their lodgings. The small plane, en route to Tenerife South Airport, encountered mechanical issues, compelling the pilot to make an emergency landing. The incident occurred close to residential and vacation properties in Amarilla Golf, a short distance from the popular golf course.

The crash landing occurred at 5 pm without any major injuries reported. Both the pilot and co-pilot were unharmed but were taken to the hospital for precautionary check-ups after the emergency landing caused by engine failure and a sudden altitude drop near the airport.

Emergency services, including the Tenerife Fire Consortium, local police, and medical teams, promptly responded to the scene to aid the crew. An investigation is underway to determine the technical reasons behind the flight mishap.

According to an emergency department spokesperson, medical teams evaluated the occupants who exited the aircraft and transferred them to the hospital for further assessment. The firefighters deployed a foam mattress to contain the spilled fuel and prevent ignition, ensuring no harm to pedestrians or vehicles.

Efforts were focused on managing the fuel spill by applying foam to the plane and surrounding road surface.
