Marwan Jumaa, 20, considered a danger to himself and others, fled while being moved from a secure hospital to North Manchester Hospital for medical care. Described as black, slim, with short dark hair, and around 5ft 10ins tall, Jumaa has connections to various areas in Greater Manchester, as well as Leeds and London. He was last seen in Radcliffe. Detective Superintendent Amber Waywell of Greater Manchester Police emphasized the public safety risk posed by Jumaa, highlighting past crimes against females that led to his current custody.
Jumaa is serving an indefinite hospital sentence for assaulting two women. Court records detail his guilty pleas to offenses including assaulting a police officer, robbing a woman, and causing harm to another woman in London. Detective Chief Inspector Abigail Cronin urged anyone with information on Jumaa’s location to come forward, reassuring the community of ongoing efforts to locate and return him to custody promptly.
