Man tragically killed on A27 footbridge in East Sussex

A tragic incident occurred on the A27 in East Sussex, where a man lost his life after being hit by a car and falling from a footbridge. The emergency response teams swiftly arrived at the Dyke Road roundabouts in Hove around 9:15 am on Saturday.

The victim, a 59-year-old local resident, was pronounced dead at the scene, and his family has been notified, according to a statement from Sussex Police. Authorities have ruled out any suspicion surrounding the man’s death.

Following the incident, the A27 was shut down in both directions for several hours before eventually reopening to traffic. Sussex Police indicated that they are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event but have not found any suspicious elements at this point.
