“Man and Woman Face Murder Charges in Cotswolds Court”

Two individuals, a man and a woman, have made a court appearance for facing murder charges in connection with the death of a man in the Cotswolds region.

Adina Mihai, aged 30, and Madalin Dumitru, aged 29, have been accused of the murder of 83-year-old Malcolm King at an address in Bagendon near Cirencester on August 21, 2024. The charges stem from a collaborative investigation by Gloucestershire Police and Thames Valley Police. Additionally, the duo, formerly residing in Sandway Gardens, Birmingham, are also facing charges of manslaughter, administering poison resulting in grievous bodily harm (GBH), administering poison, and conspiracy to steal, all linked to the same incident.

The defendants, Mihai and Dumitru, entered not guilty pleas to a total of 19 charges during their appearance at Oxford Crown Court on April 24. Prior to these charges, both individuals had been charged by Thames Valley Police in connection with the death of 37-year-old Gary Mouat at an address in Hazeldene Gardens, Banbury, on July 13 in the previous year.

Regarding the incident in Banbury, Mihai and Dumitru are facing charges of murder, manslaughter, administering poison resulting in GBH, administering poison, and conspiracy to steal. They are also accused of poisoning and conspiring to steal from three men on separate occasions between July 13 and 31 the previous year.

Both defendants are currently in custody and are scheduled to appear at Oxford Crown Court on June 3 to address all charges.
