Born in Sevres, a Paris suburb, Arthur Fery will be stepping onto the Wimbledon courts as a beloved hometown hero. Fery, who moved to SW19 at the age of two, grew up just moments away from the prestigious All England Club. His mother, Olivia, a former tennis professional, is rumored to be a member at the club, while his younger brother is also involved in this year’s tournament.

As a youngster, Fery frequented the Wimbledon grounds and was embraced by the local community, including individuals who know him personally. Despite his relatively small stature at 5ft 9in, Fery has emerged as a prominent figure in the tennis world, particularly at this year’s Wimbledon.

In a historic moment, Fery became the first British wildcard entrant to reach the quarter-finals of Wimbledon by defeating Grigor Dimitrov in a thrilling five-set match, witnessed by his childhood idol Roger Federer. He is now set to face Flavio Cobolli in the upcoming semi-final match.

Fery’s father, Loic, expressed immense pride in his son’s accomplishments, highlighting Arthur’s strong ties to England and Great Britain. Loic credited Arthur’s dedication and hard work for his success in tennis, overcoming challenges such as injuries and setbacks along the way.

Educated at Wimbledon’s King’s College School and later at Stanford University on a tennis scholarship, Fery has excelled both academically and athletically. With the guidance of his coach Jeroen Benard and unwavering support from his loved ones, Fery continues to shine on the court with his impressive performances.

As Fery progresses through the tournament, his supporters, including former British tennis star Greg Rusedski, commend his confidence and talent. Rusedski emphasized the importance of maintaining composure and self-belief for Fery to sustain his remarkable journey at Wimbledon.

With a unique blend of talent, determination, and community support, Arthur Fery is making waves in the world of tennis, captivating audiences with his inspiring rise to success on the Wimbledon stage.
