A violent incident unfolded in Scotland today, with a skip lorry crashing into the residence of a notorious gangster believed to be at the center of an ongoing drug conflict. The destructive impact occurred on Brand Drive in Edinburgh on Tuesday afternoon, as video footage captured the truck accelerating in reverse before smashing through the front entrance of the property. The house, situated in Portobello, sustained significant damage, prompting a swift response from emergency services who arrived to assess the situation, revealing a substantial hole in the structure’s facade.
Reports suggest that the attack was orchestrated by the Tamo Junto (TMJ), an affiliated gang under the leadership of prominent drug trafficker Ross McGill. Allegedly, the 19-year-old homeowner was targeted due to suspicions of attempting to deceive McGill in a counterfeit money transaction. According to sources cited by the Daily Record, TMJ carried out the assault on the unnamed teenager, who had purportedly been recruited by rival kingpin Mark Richardson to swindle McGill in a cocaine deal valued at £500,000 using counterfeit currency.
An insider disclosed, “This individual was associated with Richardson’s faction, traveling to Dubai where he was introduced to McGill through an intermediary. He then proceeded to purchase £500k worth of cocaine from McGill using fake bills.” Following the deal, the intermediary fled Dubai and faced repercussions in Thailand, while the teenager remained low-key overseas. However, his family home in Edinburgh became a target due to his connection, drawing TMJ’s wrath as McGill’s prime objective.
The ongoing gang warfare in Scotland ignited in March 2025 when McGill suspected the teenager’s ties to Richardson’s gang. Retaliatory actions against Richardson’s associates, including arson attacks and gun violence, ensued. TMJ subsequently targeted the Daniel clan in Glasgow for their affiliation with Richardson, setting ablaze properties linked to the family’s high-ranking members.
A separate source indicated TMJ’s mission to dismantle Richardson’s criminal network and affiliates, emphasizing their determination to eradicate all traces of opposition. The focus remains on eliminating Richardson’s gang and associated individuals, with the targeted teenager being just one of many on TMJ’s list.
In response to the day’s events, a spokesperson from Police Scotland confirmed road closures in the vicinity following the lorry’s collision with the house. The spokesperson stated, “Emergency services are present at Brand Drive, Edinburgh following a lorry crashing into a house around 2:25 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Road closures are in effect at Christian Grove and Christian Crescent.”
