A former contestant from the X Factor talent show is facing charges of attempted murder following a car incident that resulted in injuries to pedestrians, with one woman critically injured. The Metropolitan Police disclosed that a woman in her thirties is in critical condition and a man in his fifties sustained severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Westminster early on Sunday. Another woman in her thirties suffered minor injuries in the same incident.

Identified as Gabrielle Carrington, a 29-year-old from Manchester, the individual has been accused of attempted murder, intentional grievous bodily harm, bodily harm, and driving under the influence of alcohol. Carrington, known for participating in the live finals of X Factor in 2013 as part of the group Miss Dynamix, has transitioned into an influencer with the online pseudonym RielleUK.

Originally gaining fame as a teenager in the X Factor live finals with Miss Dynamix, a group formed during the 2013 competition, Carrington and her bandmates exited the show in Week 3 after performing ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ by Swedish House Mafia in the sing-off. Following their elimination, Carrington emphasized the group’s identity on the Xtra Factor program.

After the dissolution of Miss Dynamix in 2014, Carrington offered well wishes to her former colleagues. In recent times, she has established herself as an influencer with a substantial following on Instagram, showcasing her lifestyle through posts from various luxurious destinations and promoting her haircare products.

The incident leading to Carrington’s charges occurred outside a nightclub in Soho, resulting in injuries to three individuals. The collision, happening around 4:30 am on a Sunday on Argyll Street near the Inca nightclub, involved a vehicle striking pedestrians, including two women and a man in his fifties preparing to use his e-scooter.

One of the women, aged in her thirties, remains in critical condition, while the man suffered severe injuries and was taken to the hospital. Another woman, believed to also be in her thirties, received treatment for minor injuries. Carrington has been remanded in custody as she faces charges of attempted murder, intentional grievous bodily harm, bodily harm, and driving under the influence, awaiting her court appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
