Former congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has accused Donald Trump of implying that harm to her son would be justified after she faced death threats over her efforts to release the Epstein files. Greene revealed the breakdown of her relationship with the ex-president during a speech, highlighting how their close bond deteriorated when Trump labeled her a “traitor” in a dispute regarding the disclosure of government files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

According to Greene, Trump, who had connections to Epstein in the past, allegedly pressured officials not to release the files despite promising to do so while campaigning for the presidency. Recounting a phone call she received from Trump, Greene claimed he urged her to withdraw her support for the files’ release, warning that his associates, including those at Mar-a-Lago and in Palm Beach, could face negative consequences if the files were made public.

Greene further stated that the situation escalated to threats against her youngest son following Trump’s accusations. She reported forwarding these threats to high-ranking members of the Trump administration, including Vice President JD Vance, FBI Director Kash Patel, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, and deputy chief of staff James Blair.

Despite reaching out to these officials, Greene claimed to have received limited responses, with some failing to address the threats she faced. However, Greene alleged that Trump’s response was the most shocking, stating that he blamed her for the situation and suggested she deserved any harm that might come to her son. The congresswoman emphasized the gravity of these allegations, questioning the integrity of a movement that she once fervently supported.

Although Greene has not disclosed the alleged text messages from Trump, her public revelations mark a significant shift in her alliance with the former president. Their relationship soured over disagreements regarding the Epstein files, with Greene accusing Trump of hindering transparency to shield influential associates.

Following her resignation from Congress and Trump’s subsequent disapproval of her, the White House spokesperson dismissed Greene’s claims as attempts to remain relevant by criticizing Trump. The White House did not directly address the specifics of Greene’s accusations, emphasizing her departure from political office and insinuating personal motivations behind her statements.
