A tragic incident occurred as a young woman lost her life in a bungee jumping accident after the safety cord was not properly attached before she was thrown from a bridge. The 21-year-old victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was unknowingly launched off Skeleton Bridge in Limeira, Sao Paulo, Brazil, without the crucial safety rope in place, as captured in distressing footage circulating on social media.

Authorities confirmed that the fatal incident took place during a bungee jumping session organized by a private company. Despite emergency services arriving at the scene, the woman’s death was confirmed, and her body was later transferred to the Legal Medical Institute for investigation. Tragically, her fiancé, who was present at the bridge, required medical attention upon learning of her demise.

Moments before the tragic accident, the woman posted a picture on Instagram with a caption questioning the decision to jump off the bridge. The Civil Police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine if criminal charges will be pursued against those responsible. The Limeira City Council intends to lodge a complaint against the Brazilian federal government, highlighting the necessity of accountability for the lack of safety measures at the site, as stated by Mayor Murilo Félix.

The community is deeply saddened by this unfortunate loss, and the investigation aims to shed light on the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
