Powell held Gove responsible for the NEETs crisis, citing the significant number of young people left without opportunities due to his leadership.
Powell, also Labour’s deputy leader, emphasized the need to raise standards across academic, technical, and creative fields to improve the education system. She advocated for equal recognition of academic and technical education, debunking the notion that one is superior to the other.
