The recent drone strike on a Wildberries outlet in Samara came shortly after Zelensky’s announcement. Ukraine reported a significant increase in Russian military casualties in July, reaching a monthly high of 42,860 personnel losses. Zelensky warned of Moscow’s plans to escalate military mobilization to compensate for mounting casualties, with reports of potential reinforcement from North Korean troops. Russia had enlisted over 221,000 troops by late July but suffered nearly 225,500 military losses, fueling concerns about the escalating conflict.
