An easyJet flight bound for Glasgow had to make an unexpected landing in Liverpool. The flight, with the number EJU7357, departed from Palma de Mallorca Airport around 6:40 pm on May 31, heading to Glasgow Airport.

The Airbus A319 aircraft was originally scheduled to arrive in Scotland at approximately 8:45 pm but was redirected to Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Following the diversion, easyJet issued an apology to the affected passengers, citing the situation as “beyond our control,” as reported by the Daily Record.

In an online communication to passengers, easyJet expressed regret, stating, “We regret that your flight will be diverted to Liverpool. We apologize for the inconvenience and aim to resume your journey to Glasgow promptly.”

The airline explained that the disruption was due to circumstances beyond their control and classified it as an extraordinary event. They assured passengers that the flight would be refueled, and the journey to Glasgow would resume as soon as possible, with updates provided by the crew.

Earlier in the week, another easyJet flight, U251 from the Isle of Man to Liverpool, had to declare a mid-air emergency and divert to Manchester Airport after an aborted landing attempt. The flight landed safely in Manchester at 4:05 pm on May 24.
