New disturbing video footage has emerged showing the moment Henry Nowak was handcuffed and left to die after being stabbed by an individual wielding a ceremonial Sikh dagger. The tragic incident took place in Southampton last December, where 18-year-old Henry was murdered by Vickrum Digwa, who used an eight-inch blade in the attack, claiming it was a part of his religious beliefs. Digwa falsely accused Nowak of racial abuse, leading to a fatal series of events where Nowak was handcuffed, disregarded by police officers, and left to perish from his injuries.

Digwa, now 23, has been found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison for a minimum of 21 years. Recently released video evidence captures the heart-wrenching moment when Nowak, in his dying moments, repeatedly pleaded with police officers that he couldn’t breathe.

The footage, recorded on a police body camera, depicts the scene where Nowak was found collapsed against a house, supported by Digwa’s father, while Digwa asserted that Nowak had racially attacked him, causing his turban to be dislodged. The court was informed that Digwa, who did not have his turban on when the police arrived, likely removed it earlier. Despite Nowak’s cries for help, he was moved across the property and handcuffed by an officer who doubted the severity of his injuries.

The tragic incident left Nowak with eight stab wounds, inflicted by Digwa using a 21cm blade. Nowak’s father expressed outrage at the treatment his son received from the police, emphasizing the stark contrast in how Digwa was handled with care and respect throughout the arrest process. He criticized the inhumane and degrading treatment suffered by his son, highlighting the disparities in the treatment of the victim and the perpetrator during the arrest and subsequent procedures.
