A family has released a touching tribute to a devoted mother who brightened every room she entered as authorities look into her passing.
Hannah Fry, 29, reportedly fell ill at a residence on Meadow Croft, Longridge, in Lancashire while police were present on July 13. Despite efforts from emergency responders, she could not be saved after being taken to the hospital.
Lancashire Police mentioned that a 31-year-old man was initially arrested on suspicion of coercive and controlling behavior and later on suspicion of manslaughter. He has been released on bail as the investigation progresses. Another man has also been detained and bailed in connection with the incident.
Hannah’s parents, Kevin and Sarah Harcup, expressed their grief in a statement, describing her as their beloved daughter who brought light and love into their lives. They highlighted her role as a dedicated mother, daughter, sister, and friend with a unique sense of humor and a warm presence.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson stated that Hannah’s death is under investigation and treated as unexplained. The 31-year-old suspect was arrested for coercive behavior and manslaughter, while a 23-year-old man related to the case was also detained and bailed. The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) for further review.
