Co-op has introduced a significant update for its numerous online shopping loyalty members. Customers who are part of the Co-op membership program can now benefit from their customized weekly deals when making online purchases, enabling them to save money on their orders. Previously, these exclusive offers were solely accessible in physical stores.

According to the supermarket, shoppers have the potential to save more than £80 annually by utilizing these personalized offers, which consist of discounts and deals on products they frequently buy. Additionally, Co-op has expanded its online services to include the redemption of any funds added to a membership card, such as game rewards or bonus offers.

Members can take advantage of these personalized offers when shopping through shop.coop, although they are not applicable when using third-party delivery apps like Deliveroo or Just Eat. Last year, Co-op announced a 67% increase in the number of personalized offers available to members, totaling over 700 offers, including popular brands like Huel, Pop Chips, Actimel, Pilgrams Choice, and Vimto.

Furthermore, Co-op recently extended member price savings to shoppers using platforms such as Just Eat, Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and Co-op’s own online store. Rachel Halter, Customer Director at Co-op, highlighted that 88% of online shoppers are Co-op members, emphasizing the company’s commitment to delivering value to its members. Co-op aims to grow its membership base to eight million by 2030 and views the enhancement of personalized offers as a way to attract new members with enticing money-saving benefits.

In other news, Co-op currently boasts approximately seven million members, with a membership fee of £1. The company also announced plans to open 18 new or upgraded stores in the first quarter of 2026, with the inaugural store located in Willowbrook Park, Didcot in Oxfordshire. Additionally, Co-op intends to create thousands of new apprenticeships by 2030 through a £70 million investment in its Levy Share service, facilitating the creation of 7,000 matched apprenticeships. This initiative allows levy-paying employers to transfer unused apprenticeship levy funds to support businesses, charities, and community organizations.

Since its inception four years ago, the program has successfully matched over 3,800 apprenticeships, with a focus on supporting deprived communities and the care sector.
