The Toronto Blue Jays have brought back right-handed pitcher Spencer Arrighetti after he recovered from a foot nerve issue called Morton’s neuroma that had sidelined him for 15 days. Arrighetti, who was acquired from the Houston Astros before the trade deadline for Daulton Varsho, is now back in action. Additionally, utility player Davis Schneider has been called up from the Blue Jays’ triple-A team in Buffalo, N.Y. Both players were ready to take on the New York Yankees. In corresponding roster moves, left-handed pitcher Brendan Cellucci was sent down to triple-A, while infielder Josh Smith was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a left hamstring problem.
