A woman was taken into custody following an investigation into the death of a man who was discovered with severe injuries, according to authorities.
Cleveland Police reported that they responded to a call from a member of the public at around 11 pm on Saturday at Ayton Crescent in Eston, Middlesbrough, where they found a man with significant injuries. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
After deploying a rapid response, which included assistance from the National Police Air Service, a 39-year-old woman was arrested and is currently being held by the police.
Police stated that efforts are ongoing to locate another individual related to the incident.
Superintendent Daryll Tomlinson assured the community that the incident was isolated and that there is no broader risk to the public. Law enforcement officers will continue to be present at Ayton Crescent with an increased presence in the vicinity.
