Tiafoe Upsets Auger-Aliassime in Cincinnati Open

Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime faced a defeat against American Frances Tiafoe in the fourth round of the Cincinnati Open on Wednesday evening. Despite Auger-Aliassime’s 13-2 lead in aces, he struggled with 37 unforced errors. In comparison, Tiafoe, seeded No. 17, committed only 16 unforced errors and secured the win in one hour and 40 minutes.

In doubles action, Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski and Czech player Barbora Krejcikova lost to Czech opponents Linda Noskova and Marie Bouzkova after a tight match ending 6-3, 1-6, 10-7. Dabrowski, typically paired with Luisa Stefani, played with a different partner due to Stefani’s ongoing elbow injury.
