Hayden Panettiere’s former fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko, has expressed his feelings about the sudden passing of the actress. Klitschko, a Ukrainian boxer and the father of their daughter Kaya, shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram account, stating that their family is experiencing deep shock and sorrow following Panettiere’s death at the age of 36.

Klitschko acknowledged Panettiere’s untimely departure, emphasizing her significance in his life despite the end of their romantic relationship in 2018. The couple welcomed their daughter, Kaya, in December 2014, after which Panettiere entrusted full custody to Klitschko as she battled addiction and postpartum depression.

Reflecting on Panettiere’s remarkable career and the challenges she faced in the demanding entertainment industry, Klitschko highlighted the enduring memories they shared and the enduring place she holds in their lives. He urged everyone to respect their family’s privacy during this difficult time and assured their daughter that he would always speak of her mother with reverence.

Panettiere was discovered unresponsive in an apartment in Greenville, S.C., and despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Speculation arose from a 9/11 dispatch recording suggesting a possible overdose, but authorities have yet to confirm the cause of death, indicating an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Panettiere’s passing.

The Greenville County Coroner’s office reported treating a woman in cardiac arrest, with an autopsy revealing no signs of physical trauma. Law enforcement officials found no evidence of foul play or suspicious activities connected to Panettiere’s death.

Tributes continue to pour in for the late actress, with colleagues such as Connie Britton and Masi Oka expressing their grief and fond memories of working with Panettiere. Creator of “Heroes,” Tim Kring, lauded Panettiere’s exceptional talent and shared his admiration for her artistic abilities.

Panettiere, who would have celebrated her 37th birthday soon, had been candid about her personal struggles, detailed in her recently released memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning.” The memoir delves into her challenges with early fame, addiction issues, and postpartum depression, shedding light on her journey in the public eye.

Prior to her renowned roles in “Heroes” and “Nashville,” Panettiere began her acting career as a child star, appearing in films like “Remember the Titans” in 2000 alongside Denzel Washington.
