Concurrently, 18,100 U.S. residents entered Canada by crossing the same bridge during the same timeframe.

In comparison, other border crossings in the vicinity, namely the Ambassador Bridge and the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel, recorded a total of 52,700 inbound trips by both Canadian and U.S. residents during the same period. StatCan further disclosed that 4,100 commercial transport trucks made their way to Canada via the Gordie Howe bridge in the final five days of July.
