A woman recounted a harrowing incident on a flight where she was reportedly sexually assaulted while holding her young daughter. The mother, traveling solo with her four-year-old child, was asleep when the alleged assault occurred on a flydubai flight. Beaut Pimpaporn, a 33-year-old woman from Thailand, was returning from Milan to Bangkok with a layover in Dubai.
During the six-hour flight on flight FZ-1583, the mother took sleeping pills while her daughter slept on her lap. Upon waking up, she found a fellow passenger allegedly touching her inappropriately. The man quickly stopped when he realized she was awake, covering his actions with his jacket and pretending to adjust the entertainment screen.
After landing in Bangkok, the woman reported the incident to the cabin crew and filed a police report. The man initially denied the accusation but later admitted to his actions. He made a scene, apologized, and was taken off the flight by tourist police and immigration officers for further investigation.
The flight attendant, aware of the seriousness of the situation, separated the woman’s child from the commotion. The man, part of a tour group, had his friends intervene on his behalf, but the flight attendant insisted on involving the police. The woman urged other female travelers not to hesitate to report any suspicious behavior, emphasizing the importance of speaking up for assistance.
Flydubai declined to comment on the matter, citing passenger confidentiality and ongoing investigations. The airline emphasized the safety of its passengers and crew as a top priority.
