A 15-year-old teenager, known for frightening a community by dressing as a menacing clown and making spooky threats while going door-to-door, has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 76-year-old man named John Wesley Allen Sr in Illinois. Police responded to a report of a body found on the roadside in East St. Louis, leading to the discovery of the deceased pensioner who had been stabbed multiple times. The teenager was taken into custody by Illinois State Police the following day in connection with the murder.
Prior to the tragic incident, residents reported unsettling encounters with the teenager in a clown costume, including one instance captured on a doorbell camera where the clown ominously stated, “I’ve been looking for you.” Witnesses also recounted seeing the teen brandishing a large knife while roaming the neighborhood. One resident, Corrine Spry, described watching the clown with the knife for about 45 minutes before authorities intervened.
Another local, Lee Palmer, recounted how the menacing clown had approached his mother’s home, causing alarm and fear for her safety. Palmer expressed disbelief at the situation, emphasizing the unnerving nature of the clown’s presence.
