Former U.S. President Donald Trump faced criticism for sharing a peculiar AI-generated portrait featuring himself seated alongside historical figures George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. The digital artwork, posted on his Truth Social platform, depicted Trump with the renowned American presidents at a table with what seemed to be an inverted map of the United States.
This latest social media post by Trump, known for his unconventional online content, did not come with an explanation. Earlier, he had also shared images portraying himself in various contexts, including one resembling Elvis Presley and another where his face was merged with Washington’s.
The digital poster, possibly created using an AI model, carried the slogan ‘250 years – In God We Trust,’ linking the founding of the United States with Trump’s political narrative. Critics accused Trump of exploiting the country’s 250th anniversary to promote his political agenda, overshadowing established commemorative efforts.
Supporters of the “Make America Great Again” movement praised the image featuring Trump, Washington, and Lincoln as “three American legends.” However, detractors swiftly parodied the image by replacing the historical figures with controversial figure Jeffrey Epstein, among other satirical edits.
Trump has previously faced backlash for sharing manipulated images, such as one where he depicted himself as Jesus Christ performing a miracle. Despite receiving criticism, he later defended the post as a depiction of himself as a healer.
