Vickrum Digwa, the individual responsible for the death of Henry Nowak, is reportedly feeling intense fear of potential harm from other inmates at the infamous “Monster Mansion” prison where he is incarcerated.
Digwa, aged 23, has been housed at HMP Frankland in County Durham following his conviction for the murder of Henry, a student at Southampton University. Serving a minimum of 21 years, Digwa initially spent time in isolation but has now been relocated to a prison wing with close monitoring.
HMP Frankland, known as Monster Mansion, is home to some of Britain’s most notorious criminals, including Wayne Couzens, the killer of Sarah Everard, and Levi Bellfield, the murderer of Millie Dowler. Digwa is said to be deeply concerned about the possibility of encountering violence from these infamous inmates.
According to sources cited by MailOnline, Digwa arrived at Frankland in a state of extreme fear, contrasting with the arrogance he displayed during his arrest. There were concerns about his survival given the circumstances of his crime.
Former prison governor Vanessa Frake-Harris highlighted the risks faced by high-profile inmates like Digwa, stating that they are often targets for other prisoners seeking to gain credibility. The anger towards Digwa for his high-profile murder may follow him into HMP Frankland.
Digwa fatally stabbed Henry during an encounter in Southampton, using an eight-inch dagger to inflict fatal wounds. He then falsely portrayed himself as a victim of a racist attack, failing to disclose his role in Henry’s death to the authorities.
Tragic bodycam footage captured Henry’s plea for help after being stabbed, ultimately leading to his death. Digwa was convicted of murder and carrying a knife in public at Southampton Crown Court before receiving a life sentence. His mother, Kiran Kaur, was also convicted for concealing the murder weapon at their residence.
Incriminating footage on Digwa’s phone showed him instructing Kaur to remove the weapon from the scene. Kaur is currently serving her sentence at HMP Bronzefield in Surrey, where former nurse Lucy Letby is also detained.
