An influencer and her partner were found dead, shot and abandoned on a remote roadside as authorities continue the search for the perpetrator or perpetrators.
Ulissias Marcelli Couto Flores Cardial, 30, a fire performer and social media figure known as Miss Tattoo, was discovered deceased alongside her companion Vinícius Souza de Carvalho, 28.
Law enforcement is investigating the possibility that the couple might have been held against their will before being murdered.
The former beauty queen, who leaves behind a 13-year-old son, was located on Saturday, July 18, not far from Vinícius on a country road in the coastal city of Porto Seguro, Brazil.
Officials revealed that the pair had been shot the day before, with forensic experts recovering seven spent 9mm cartridge casings and two projectiles at the scene.
Ulissias’ cellphone was confiscated for examination, while her partner’s device was missing.
The influencer was known for sharing content related to rock music, motorcycle culture, and animal welfare with her over 20,000 Instagram followers. She had also won a local beauty pageant in 2021.
Both individuals resided locally and were employed in the events industry, with Ulissias scheduled to present at an upcoming music festival.
In a social media tribute, Ulissias’ mother expressed, “Go in peace, my loves. You leave an immortal legacy. We will miss you dearly – this is such a heartbreaking loss.”
Organizers of the festival mourned the couple’s sudden departure, stating, “Today, with profound sadness, we bid farewell to her presence among us. It is difficult to believe that someone who was about to share such a special moment with us has left so soon.”
As the investigation proceeds, no arrests have been made yet.
