A determined father who had pledged to set a new world record following a significant win on ITV’s The 1% Club has honored his commitment. Nathan Davies, a 32-year-old project manager, now holds a Guinness World Records title for consuming the most fish fingers in one minute by devouring 15 of them within the time frame.
During his appearance on ITV’s The 1% Club, where he clinched a £98,000 prize, Nathan expressed his aspiration to achieve a Guinness World Records title, which he successfully accomplished. Opting for fish fingers as the challenge due to their popularity in his household among his two children, he turned his ambition into reality.
Having tested his ability to eat four fish fingers quickly beforehand and deeming the challenge achievable, Nathan officially set the record by consuming 15 fish fingers in just 60 seconds. Despite his official recognition in the Guinness World Records books, Nathan confessed that the accomplishment still feels somewhat surreal to him, expressing a mix of pride and amusement at holding a world record related to fish fingers.
Reflecting on the attempt, Nathan believed he could have surpassed his own record if the fish fingers had cooled down a bit more before the challenge. Nevertheless, he remains content with his achievement and considers it a significant milestone following his notable cash win on The 1% Club.
While the question of whether he will pursue another unconventional record in the future remains unanswered, Nathan humorously remarked that his wife might have a say in his next record-breaking endeavor.
