One individual has been hospitalized following a crane collapse at a port in England. Emergency crews from various services rushed to the scene at the Port of Tyne in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, where the incident involving a dockside crane occurred around 1.02pm.
Responding to the situation after one person was injured, teams from North East Ambulance Service and the Great North Air Ambulance were dispatched. A spokesperson from North East Ambulance Service mentioned that multiple units, including ambulances, clinical team leaders, and vehicles from the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), were mobilized along with support from Great North Air Ambulance Service. The injured person was transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
