“Toddlers Hospitalized, Couple Arrested in Lincolnshire Neglect Case”

Two toddlers were taken to the hospital after police visited a residence in Kirton, Lincolnshire, leading to the arrest of a man and a woman.

The Lincolnshire Police responded to concerns about two children at a property in Dennis Estate on Wednesday. The youngsters were hospitalized for treatment and remained under care overnight. A 23-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of neglect and have been released on bail pending further investigation.

Detective Inspector Claire Rimmer described the case as complex, highlighting the need for an extensive inquiry by the authorities. She emphasized the importance of refraining from speculation to avoid compromising evidence and the ongoing investigation, stressing the focus on providing the best possible care for the children involved.

The police statement confirmed the incident, stating that two children, aged 1 and 2 years, were hospitalized for medical attention. The arrested individuals have been bailed with conditions while the investigation continues.
