A man in São Paulo, Brazil, underwent a unique medical procedure to reconstruct half of his jaw after a dramatic incident involving a phone theft. André Gayoso, a 35-year-old business owner, was returning home from a night out when a thief on a bike snatched his phone. In pursuit of the thief, André fell and suffered severe injuries, including a broken jaw and the loss of six teeth.
To repair his damaged jaw, André underwent a series of surgeries using bone and skin from his right leg. Despite facing significant challenges during his recovery, including a lengthy coma and financial setbacks due to theft, André remained resilient and positive. He expressed gratitude for the survival of his sunglasses, the only personal item undamaged in the incident.
During his hospitalization, André continued overseeing his sunglasses brand, AAGYO, demonstrating his determination to move forward despite the physical and financial burdens he faced. Through multiple surgeries and ongoing treatments, André remains focused on expanding his business and releasing new sunglasses models in the future.
