A man has been accused of a double homicide following the discovery of two deceased individuals at a residence in East Sussex. The 58-year-old suspect was taken into custody after the bodies of Adrian Horton, aged 66, and Uschi Schild, aged 46, were found early on Tuesday morning.

Law enforcement responded to the scene on Seven Acre Close in St Leonards-on-Sea shortly after 4:30 am after receiving reports of injuries sustained by a man and a woman at the location. The apprehension of Sean Gray, 58, took place at an address on Battle Road. Gray, who does not have a fixed abode, is scheduled to appear in Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Detective Superintendent Jay Mendis-Gunasekera expressed condolences, stating, “This is a tragic incident, and our sympathies go out to the families, friends, and loved ones of the deceased during this challenging period.” The investigation is ongoing, with efforts to ascertain the complete circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Authorities believe that both the suspects and the victims were acquainted with each other, with no active search for additional individuals linked to the case. Inquiries are being conducted at the residence and in the surrounding vicinity, with an increased police presence to support the ongoing investigations.
