A man has been prohibited from consuming alcohol after he assaulted a canine and threw a pastry at a police officer’s private area, causing significant discomfort.

Kristen Naylor also launched a Pot Noodle at the officer while in custody after being apprehended for attacking his father.

Details presented at Bolton Crown Court revealed how the 29-year-old assaulted his father, John, who was recuperating at Naylor’s mother’s residence post-surgery.

Following his return to his mother’s house in an inebriated state, Naylor and his father engaged in a dispute. The prosecution stated that Naylor’s father decided to depart with his two dogs, aware of his son’s behavior when intoxicated.

Naylor pursued his father, demanding the return of his dog, and a physical altercation ensued. Despite warnings, Naylor struck his father multiple times, causing him to stumble.

During the altercation, one of the dogs got entangled, prompting a police intervention. Naylor displayed defiance during his transfer to custody, where he threw food items at an officer, with one hitting the officer in a sensitive area.

Sentenced at court, Naylor received a 12-month suspended sentence along with community service, rehabilitation activities, alcohol abstinence, and mental health treatment requirements. Additionally, he was ordered to cover prosecution costs.

Naylor, residing in Lower Nook Meadow, Lowton, Wigan, admitted guilt to assault causing bodily harm, animal cruelty, and assaulting an emergency worker.
