Police in Bath are on the lookout for a suspect following a sexual assault on an 11-year-old girl near a playground. The incident took place in a wooded area close to the Clarks Way playground in Odd Down, as reported by Avon and Somerset Police.
Authorities described the suspect as a white male in his 30s or 40s with a distinctive neck tattoo. He was seen wearing a T-shirt, shorts, and a cap during the assault. Detective Inspector Hannah Marsh emphasized the seriousness of the incident and highlighted the significant resources being utilized to apprehend the offender.
DI Marsh urged anyone who witnessed suspicious behavior in the area around the time of the assault or anyone matching the suspect’s description to come forward with information. To aid the investigation, additional patrols have been deployed, and house-to-house inquiries are being conducted. The police are also reviewing CCTV footage as part of their ongoing efforts.
