Upon joining the Royal Family in 2018, Meghan Markle, known for her acting career, was accustomed to public appearances.

During an international royal tour shortly after their wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex faced a wardrobe malfunction. In October 2018, the couple visited Tonga as part of a 16-day journey that included stops in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and other Pacific Islands.

Exiting their plane at Fua’amotu Airport, Meghan wore a striking red Self Portrait dress worth £380, featuring long sleeves and a flowing skirt.

The attention-grabbing attire captured the interest of many observers, but not for the right reasons. A label was visibly hanging from inside the skirt, peeking out just below the hemline, remaining in view for at least five minutes as they walked along the tarmac.

The wardrobe mishap surprised several online followers, with some humorously speculating that Meghan might have intentionally left the tag on to return the dress after the event.

Questions arose as to why her team did not notice the issue before she disembarked, considering the assumption that Meghan would have had a team of stylists and assistants on board.

During their tour, Good Morning Britain host Charlotte Hawkins defended Meghan, saying that such mistakes are common and can easily go unnoticed, as clothing labels can be discreetly placed in various locations.

Just two months before this incident, Meghan faced another wardrobe mishap at the wedding of Prince Harry’s close friend Charlie van Straubenzee. Attending the event in Surrey, Meghan, in a £400 Club Monaco navy blue dress, accidentally missed a button, revealing her bra momentarily while waving to well-wishers.
