With the World Cup football excitement building up, fans nationwide are eagerly awaiting the kick-off on June 11.

However, many fans are feeling the pinch when it comes to purchasing official national team shirts, as new research shows that nearly 80% find the typical price of around £100 too steep.

Concerns about keeping expensive shirts clean and intact have led 50% of fans to opt for cheaper T-shirts to wear during matches.

Fortunately, Asda has introduced affordable England and Scotland-inspired shirts at just £12 each in their stores this summer, providing a budget-friendly alternative for supporters.

As an added bonus, Asda offers a shirt swap policy, allowing fans to exchange tournament shirts for other clothing items in case their team is eliminated early.

A spokesperson from Asda emphasized the importance of affordable options for fans to feel involved in the tournament without breaking the bank, especially for casual supporters looking to enjoy the key moments.

Despite cost concerns, a survey revealed that 43% of individuals still desire to sport team colors during major tournaments, with 44% stating that it enhances their sense of participation, even if they are not avid football followers.

The survey also indicated that over half of Britons have refrained from purchasing football shirts due to high prices, with 74% deeming current shirt costs unaffordable.

In addition, 58% of respondents suggested that a reasonable price for a football shirt would fall between £25 and £49.

Starting at just £5, George’s range of England and Scotland-inspired attire offers fans a more cost-effective way to display their support throughout the tournament.
