Russia reportedly experienced a significant loss of approximately 100 security service officers who were either killed or injured in an attack on an FSB headquarters in Ukraine.

Video footage suggests that the strike, known as the Ukrainian “Armageddon,” targeted the Putin spy headquarters in the occupied Kherson region. Drones from Kyiv’s SBU security service were used in the attack, leading to intense explosions that demolished a multi-storey building and other structures.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky praised the outcome of the strike, mentioning that a Russian FSB officers’ headquarters was hit and a Pantsir-S1 air defense system was taken down in the temporarily occupied territory. He emphasized that around 100 Russian occupants were casualties of the operation, signaling a need for the Russians to consider ending the ongoing conflict.

Zelensky also warned of further strikes deep into Putin’s territory if the Kremlin does not engage in peace talks. He affirmed that Ukrainian sanctions, both medium- and long-range, will persist as a pressure tactic.

Described as a “carpet bombing” of the FSB HQ in the Kherson region by the Telegram channel Ukraine Context, the attack led to an estimated 100 Russians being killed or wounded. The operation was reportedly conducted by the SBU’s Alpha unit, marking a significant event in the conflict.

Despite its reputation for safeguarding Putin’s properties, the well-known Russian Pantsir-S1 system failed to prevent the strike and was allegedly destroyed during the attack. As of now, there has been no official response from Russian authorities regarding the incident.
